DADAKOTA Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Just regular gorilla glue? Or do they make a carpet adhesive?
fishinwrench Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Regular ol' GG. Cost alot to do a whole boat, but I was in a pinch to make the carpet stick and stay put. It does the job.
176champion Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Im getting ready to redo some of my carpet in my Champion boat and seems that most people are using contact cement, problem with that is you dont have no work time..when you stick it it better be right the first time.....most all of the newer glues like henry's 6700 is water based and if it get wet for several hours the glue well become soft and let go but will dry backup and retain its adhesive.. I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything! Bruce Philips
