if any of this turns out true it will have to be the worst boating disaster ever on LOZ. They reported they have multiple victims but no idea how many some reports were from 4 - 8 and including a child.  Then last evening there was two guys from Lousiana killed  when they flipped going thru the finish line of the shootout. Sound to me like they were playing around since they were not entered in the compition that started today.

LOoks  like we're off to some start

I saw a guy crash his boat at the shoutout this morning on laketv. His boat was sinking fast and I have been looking for information about it all day and haven't been able to find anything about if he was ok or not. It happened just before noon today.

The guy from the accident today is alive and at the hospital with unknown injuries.

The two guys from yesterday were in a 2013 MTI (44' I think) and both bodies have been recovered.

Definitely the worst water conditions all year. I am sure plenty of boats got swamped today from what I saw. You could not have been in a bass boat on the main lake around here today. Took the wave runner to mouth of cove and watched the boats leaving the shootout and all I can say is WOW!

When the lake gets too rough for a 44' MTI running at a moderate cruising speed I'd say it's time to admit that we have a wake problem.

Agreed.

These cowboys will often trim there lower units up to throw a larger tail. That raises the bow and I got to wonder how much more they impair their forward vision. I have yet to find a update on what happened at the 10 mm. They just have said nothing more since Friday night reports. That must have been a pretty big boat as well.

LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. — The bodies of Richard "Richie" Prince and Bradley Dunphy were recovered just before noon on Saturday, Aug. 27 after a tragic powerboat crash on Friday evening, Aug. 26.

The Patrol says 49-year-old Prince and 40-year-old Dunphy were riding in a 2013 MTI, with Prince driving, when it went airborne at around 7 p.m. on Friday. Witnesses told the Patrol that the boat rolled to the starboard side in the air, struck the water, and then flipped upside down.
