Guess that doesn't matter on $$LOZ$$ There is - 30 - but it is stilly plenty fast if you want to attempt an alternative dry dock of your boat. I have seen MSHP prop cops taking radar at sunset on multiple occasions in my neck of the woods. I have no doubt with the congestion that the lower speed limit has helped save lives, but at the end of the day you can't fix stupid. Mike

It is not like that point sticks way out into the main lake, just drunkin stupidity.
96 CHAMP Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 what a idiot, we went for a boat ride I believe on the 19th with a friend down there, a bunch of jerks i assume in there daddy's boat most likely came between us and 2 other boats, they were in probably a 40-45 footer, huge boat, came flying by throwing out a hell of a wake, completely irresponsible and no consideration, buddy been wanting us to come down for quite some time, all in all had a good time but I think that will be the last.
fishinwrench Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 The insanity is undeniable, but I can't help but think it is the main reason for the outstanding fishing we have here. So much of the lake receives almost zero fishing pressure because for almost 5 months out of the year it can't be effectively fished. I fished here alot in the 70's-80's when you could still navigate the lake in a jon boat during the middle of Summer, and while the fishing was "good" it wasn't as good as it is now I don't think. The number of bass over 3# and the number of crappie over 12" sure seems alot better now than it used to be back in the "good ol' days".

I agree, although I do get out there amongst them and fish during summer. At times my back hurts after a day rocking and rolling, but the fish are probably even more catchable as they get on structure and stay there when the churn is on. Mike

I think that reasoning is very logical wrench, it is a heck of a place to fish.
