Gavin Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 It can be good anytime, but best time for big fish is usually before dawn until the sun hits the water or in the evening when its low. The dawn bite is usually the most consistent. It can be incredible if your lucky enough to be there when a big front moves in, and its usually good daytime fishing if the water is on a slow rise or up and stable. Caddis & L. Cahill action can be good in the spring, Trico & terrestrial fishing can be good in the fall, BWO or small caddis in the winter months, you can usually expect some caddis if you get a couple nights in a row above freezing during the winter months. Fun for mid-day dinking, with an occasional surprise. DainW 1
