magicwormman Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 Has anyone found any whites this summer. I had a real good Spring, fishing for whites on the James and Kings rivers. Normally I can find them on some deep breaks, jerking a spoon or see them chasing on top. This year it's like they've disappeared, at least for me.
Champ188 Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 None up the White or Kings that I've seen.
196champ Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 I'm in the same boat, caught a bunch of real nice ones up until the end of may. They were mixed in with the LM, SM and spots....Haven's caught any or seen any up top all summer around the Shell Knob / Campbell point area
Members dougdean Posted September 20, 2016 Members Posted September 20, 2016 We like to troll for whites with war eagles. End of May and June are good time to catch some. This year... zero. uofastudent 1
Quillback Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 About a month to 6 weeks ago I ran across some big 16-18" whites near point 23 on the White. They were in 50 FOW in front of the docks that are across the lake and down lake a bit from point 23. There are 3 docks there that hang out over deep water, you can't miss them. Dunno if the whites are still there now. magicwormman 1
magicwormman Posted September 21, 2016 Author Posted September 21, 2016 Thanks for the responses! I don't feel quite as bad now, as others are also struggling to find them too.. They can be even more elusive than our LM at times.
