buckcreekmike Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 My dad and father in law and I got down Saturday around noon and are leaving this morning. Fishin was great for numbers, but could not find anything of any size. We literally caught about 60 or more smallmouth on Ned rigs on gravel points and about 40 came on one point over the course of the few days. The thing is they were from 8-13 inches mostly with only a few that may have squeaked past 15". Good trip, usually catch a few that are decent sized though, but not this time. Most were caught from the shore out to about 15' deep. I knew we must have not been on the right pattern for anything big, but it was fun and kept us busy. abkeenan, cheesemaster, Fishin4Fun and 1 other 4
m&m Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Mike, we were in Long Creek on Saturday but left before you got on the water. We found the couple of keepers inside the cove close to the main lake point with a jig. We were sitting in 19' and casting towards the shore. They hit the jig when it fell off a ledge in about 8'. Ours were all SM too. Sounds like you and your group had a fun time. Mike
