Pepe Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Lily & I got on the water at 8 am - fished till noon and then again from 2:30 to 5:30. it was a little chilly and overcast but not bad. We found fish in cedars and caught some on topwater and 3.6" PT swim bait on 3/8 oz head. About 1 in 4 of the topwater attackers actually got hooked but the Swimbait fish bite was solid. Lily worked a football jig with a "Lumpy craw" and did well by keeping it moving slowly. I can't remember the last time I caught a legal limit of nice fish but I did today. Biggest was 4.2 LM. Overall, the actiion was not furious but pretty steady. Lily caught 4 keepers but a lot more shorts. Diamond City Fisher, magicwormman, kdc and 13 others 16
Nitro 750 Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Good job Pepe, sounds like a good day on the lake!!!! Champ188 1
Quillback Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 I was out there also, but didn't get the quality bite. Caught 20 bass, mix of spots and LM's. Caught some deep on the drop shot off a gravel point, and found some around wood and part way back in a cove that I caught on medium diving cranks and jigs. I only had one keeper, bunch of 12-14" fish. cheesemaster, 96 CHAMP, 176champion and 1 other 4
96 CHAMP Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Good day of fishing Pepe, glad to see you got em. Champ188 1
Champ188 Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 You nailed it with that Lumpy Craw. They like that thing.
Bill Babler Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Wonderful report, glad you mixed them up a bit. I was hoping someone had been out the last two days flinging a topwater. Trout have been biting like little pigs so that makes it easy on a guy with a bad knee. Only have to put the trolling motor down one time and I'm good to go. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Champ188 Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 It's OK, you old Slickster. We'll keep those bass on the run till you are up to getting back in the fray.

I love the lumpy craw. Went through a whole bag one of our last two trips. Fish just hammered them.
