Club tourney

Had our last club tourney of the year and was very disappointed, was on a good deep bite with some good topwater action in the mornings catching 5 to 10 keepers a day, well they vanished. Only managed 3 keepers Sat. and 2 Sunday. Most caught fish just grinding it out with shakyheads as the bite was tough. Not sure what changed, if it was they stopped pulling the water or the full moon or a combo of both but the bite was tough.

Something turned them off I fished a tourny at Kinkaid this past weekend and it has taken 20lbs all year to win there, 13lbs got 1st place Saturday.  Still caught good numbers but the size was down and they have to 16" to keep there.

Yeah the numbers have been good for me but I've lost track of the 3-4 pounders that I've been catching all year. 

Looking forward to a weather event to stir things up a bit.  Until then I'll chase Whites and Stripers on the fly gear.

Nice white!  That's the size striper I've been catching this year - all in that same year/class.  May want to upgrade the fly tackle in a couple years as those fish will be a bit more of a hand full.  I'm looking forward to it.
