Well congrats to you Tigger fans, your team played like it wanted to win.  Wish I could say that for the piglets.

I've watched a few football games in my life, and I don't recall watching many where receivers running deep routes were so wide open so many times.

Or dropped so many balls. On paper, Mizzou looks pretty good. On the field, not so much.

I drove all the way back to CoMo for one afternoon to watch my 3-8 team play a 7-4 team. On the surface not a rational decision.  Just had that feeling on Senior Day something special might happen. Was not disappointed.

Mizzou should be VERY good offensively next year with what they return. Lost in the rubble of the defensive collapse is an offense that went from historically bad to one of the best in the SEC. Drew Lock was inconsistent but still an above average QB, and the running game has endless potential. If the defense gets back to where they should be (and that is a huge question mark) the SEC east is always winnable.20161125_165837.jpg

If I was Drew Lock, I'd be working with my receivers every day during the off season, trying to 1) be able to hit them in stride every time on the deep throws, and 2) have them hold onto the ball when I hit them.

Yep, you gotta be excited about the offense next year.  The o-line was surprisingly effective this year and returns nearly everybody.  The receivers are all coming back and CAN get open--hopefully they'll drop fewer balls next year.  Unless Crockett does more stupid stuff he's going to be a beast at running back next year.  The only key player they lose is Culkin at tight end, who became a go-to receiver this year.

The big question is the defense.  They have to find some linebackers and a secondary that can play.

And a new D line coach.....
