BilletHead Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 Well Mr. Bork, There is an access on 82 highway for the Sac. Stockton did generate Monday and Tuesday. Not sure if that surge was enough to clear the ice down that far. JohnP Posted December 24, 2016 Posted December 24, 2016 One of my Boys got a few days leave from the Air Force and shot a few on Bull Shoals this morning with a couple buddies before the rain moved in. Said they seen around 100 total just couldnt get very many to play. They knew where they wanted to be and it wasn't with where they were. duckydoty, Johnsfolly and BilletHead 3
Members Chris Bork Posted December 25, 2016 Members Posted December 25, 2016 Whelp I had a rough day of just driving around. Went to the Bolivar Access up on Pomme, lots of geese calling when I pulled up but with my yak I wasn't going anywhere with the ice. So I went home thinking I could hit Forsyth down by the park and paddle upstream in the afternoon. Uuugghhhh no water so I just watched the geese at the park. Oh well
BilletHead Posted December 25, 2016 Posted December 25, 2016 Yep Mr. Bork it is pretty tough out there right now in places. I actually was still able to walk on the ice along the edges. It did have a layer of water on top of the ice. Part of my morning will consist of going to one of my ponds we like to hunt. Donning waders and crunching the ice along the shore making an opening for todays big wind. Here is to hoping there will be a ripple effect working the open spot and continuing to open more.
