Crappie bite...

Was on fire today!  Fished from 10:30-1:30 and had 30 keepers and probably 40-50 little guys. Most came from the HSB area. Brush piles and lay downs were the key..color of jig didn't matter. Water temp in the mid 40's to 50. Get on the right pile and it was every cast!

We had a good mix of both white and black crappie. I like the blacks..they fight like crazy!

Mike, nice catch! Were you guys using minnows or just jigs? Crappies on Beaver are still a mystery to me in my 3rd season here.

Jigs under a bobber..depth ranged from 3 to 8 feet under the bobber. They were aggressive too..they would dunk the bobber out of site!

Of my Goodness that sounds like heaven. I freaking love watching a float go under.

Same here.  Only some fellas have that kind of luck consistently.  Mike is one of them.  Not me.  I'd love an afternoon like he had.
