One very Expensive Frog Swimbait

I squealed when I picked out a $8 Booyah Frog to use.  But it works.  Just very careful to make sure line is good, don't want to break it off.

Back in the old days when tournaments were just getting popular, the original Big O came out, hand carved of balsa wood.  Tournament guys were paying what was then big bucks, $20-50, for one of them, and actually fishing them.  Now, some of us routinely pay $15-$20 for a mass produced Japanese lure.

Gotta wonder if the guy who paid that for the first one of this lure is going to ever tie it on his line.  I bet not.

Heck, now I feel all inferior...a couple of the Smallmouth Alliance guys have bid up to $75 for one of my homemade lures at their auctions.  I thought I was hot stuff

I would say its a first production and maybe worth something one day, maybe.

But it is a nice work of art, probably will not see a piece of mono on the front end.

The guy that bought it (a tournament angler from Texas) does plan on tossing it a few times, but it will end up in a glass case.
