Justin92297 Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Fished the spring branch today for smallies and trout with good success but decided to fish the river for my last two hours. I started off right below the park drifting a nymph and stripping a leech without any bites. I then picked up a tip from a nice man that the browns were biting further down stream so my brother and I headed that way. Since we only had an hour left we fished the first good looking spot we could find. My brother hooked three and caught one brown on spinning gear and I hooked up with one on a soft hackle but lost it right at the net. I have now decided that I prefer the challenge of fishing the red ribbion section over the spring branch and will be back soon with more time to fish. BilletHead, snagged in outlet 3, Greasy B and 9 others 12
Johnsfolly Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Couple of nice "browns", bass and trout! Congrats on the red ribbon success.
