Stump bumper Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 I was just looking at the forecast, the next two days look great for temps, but the wind will be between 10-25 mph during the day. Man does that make it hard to net shad. Blll 1
Blll Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Makes trolling with the MK at .5 mph tough too. Probably wait until Thurs-Fri to venture out. My last two times out, I had the lake to myself. Only problem with winter fishing for me on Beaver is, having a slip, I usually get gas at PC or HSB. Regardless of what they say are their "winter hours" they have not been open the last 2 Tuesdays I've been out. Very frustrating but I understand with the little traffic I've seen. I'll need to use a can full just to get to a marina now, I'm on fumes. Good luck everybody!
Dan the fisherman Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 I might try to get out Thursday or Saturday for a little while.... today would be awesome if the wind was down a bit.

Thursday the wind dies down, then it drops 10 degrees and Friday through Sunday it rains with solid cloud cover until Monday. Just goes to show you that is always something.
Quillback Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Truck thermometer was showing 68-70 this afternoon when I was driving around. Had the window down, it was nice. Terrierman 1
Terrierman Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Would have been a good MPG day to drive to St. Louis. Quillback and Champ188 2

Hope the striper bite will still be strong then.
Guest Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 im going out sunday in search of a mudline, regardless of the weather The water temp at twin bridges has gone from 34 to 48 degrees in the past 2 days.
Guest Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 Warm weather is back in the forecast. The parking lot was full yesterday at the 412 ramp.
Dan the fisherman Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 Looks like some nicer weather coming in later this week.
