A bunch of us are heading to TR at the end of march for a guy's weekend. There are a couple guys that like to bring their dogs as they never go fishing without them. Little Indian Resort right next to Baxter says that they allow dogs, but I am having a hard time getting a hold of anyone there. Does anyone know of other resorts that are around mid-lake that allow dogs and are open in March? Thanks in advance for any help.

You might try Trace Hollow, they are just south of Baxter at the end of the cove.  Not sure if they allow pets or not but a nice reasonable place to stay and they are open in March

Otherwise the only other place that I know of that allows pets is Fish n Fun over closer to Shell Knob

Not the nicest place in the world... but Whip-Poor-Will Resort allows dogs.

Play Port is good. Whip Poor Will, you have to be dropped in by Helicopter.  It is just a very hard place to get to and there are 20 easier places.  If you don't intend to leave or go out for 3 or 4 days its ok, but if you need anything you are in a heap of trouble.  Here is another one.  Its Quail Cove at Shell Knob.  I don't know about the pets, but it is completely remodeled this year.  They have a pretty new owner and he spent some money.  Might not allow pets. PP and QC are under 5 minutes from SK.  So is Big Creak Resort and I know they have also spent some money on that place. Lots of quality resorts, but 90 percent don't allow critters.

Another deal here is a VRBO  there are getting to be tons of them around the lake and it may be your best bet.  I'd check it out.

+ 1  Really great people there.  Nice walk-down to boat dock.  Can see dock from cabins.

Cbass, another resort is four seasons located in little aunts creek. It's owned by Ruth and Ed. Extremely nice folks. Quaint little cabins or a couple different houses that sleep more. You should check it out. My family and I  stayed there for about 10 years

Thanks everybody for the help. I wound up reserving a cabin at Kimbering Oaks. They didn't have the cabin I wanted available for that week so the lady offered me a much bigger cabin for about the same price. It's going to be nice for every one of us to have our own bed.

Sounds like you already found a cabin, but in case it doesn't work out I know of 2 resorts that are VERY dog friendly, nice clean cabins, great rates, and extremely helpful hosts/owners. They are both near Indian Point on Jakes Creek Trail. The first is Calm Waters Resort and the other is right across the road called White Wing Resort. I don't have children, so my furry 4-legged son goes everywhere with me. I completely understand why resorts do not allow pets, but I will always give my business to the ones that do. Hopefully that helps you or any others looking for lodging that allows dogs, as there really aren't many left.
