As I've always said I'd rather be lucky than good.......and I've been pretty lucky for the first 3 outings of 2017.  My winter fishing is usually pretty hit & miss, missing more than hitting.  I don't know what to contribute it to but my guess is that the water hasn't gotten as cold as it usually would be this time of year.   You know what they say............."Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while."  :-)  We need to fish together this spring sometime.  I'm resigning the end of March so my guess is that I will be fishing 3 or 4 days a week in April, if my bride will let me.  :-)   I did talk with a guy at the ramp that said he caught 14 on a jerkbait but I couldn't buy a bite on that stick, but I have to admit I didn't throw it very much.

Absolutely shad    Some neat tree rows in there      One thing I need to change is I ALWAYS WESR MY LIFE JACKET  but this winter I have not     Hit a tree wrong    Bow hook  and and get ejected   

But as I get older and back surgery  and fatter  does fit around my gortex    And winter cloths 

I need to stop and change this

Great report and trip. I agree with the lucky thing verse's good.  In a lot of ways it's being in the right place at the right time!!!!!

   I honestly believe your last post is the most intelligent and thought worthy post I have ever seen on this site. Absolutely on target and graphically the best representation of fishermen I have ever seen. Thanks for the laugh on Friday morning. It will definitely give my day a better outlook.
