Lifes2Short Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 Out of Roark Bluff about 9 and fished till 5. Stayed west of the bridge all day. We didn't have any snow but plenty of drizzle and some fairly stiff winds for a while. Ended up with 75 bass and this nice walleye. Jerkbaits, crankbaits, jigs and shakey-heads worked for us. Half the fish came off a 100 yard stretch, it was pretty awesome!! Hard to believe that the fish are so shallow and so active in 44 to 47 degree water. Tight Lines!! zarraspook, ewlech, Skeeter ZX190 and 11 others 14
buzzbaitr Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 Nice fish! This is what we experienced on Friday as well. They are all stacked up in the same spot! You just have to find them and then it's game on, as long as you can still feel your fingers. Thanks for the report. Lifes2Short 1
Members Cobra 188D Posted February 27, 2017 Members Posted February 27, 2017 Ur fishing the same stuff I did Friday I fished for 4 hours and had same results all on Ned rigs was the key for me but they were hitting that so hard that I just couldn't bring myself to put it down i had at times 5 to 7 cast in a row with a fish every time a definite blast Lifes2Short 1
Lifes2Short Posted February 27, 2017 Author Posted February 27, 2017 I guess we did catch a number of them on the Ned too. I didn't throw it but my partner did.
Skeeter ZX190 Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 Awesome day! The only thing I can figure is that really warm weather moved them up shallow.
buzzbaitr Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 I think we can all agree, that it's soooo nice when they are where they should be! Find a spawning cove, work your way back to a secondary point on a channel swing and boom there they are. dan hufferd and Lifes2Short 2
