Bass Enforcer Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 I just got some info the James river arm is fishing pretty good. I have a buddy down there right now pre fishing.
vernon Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Sure wish that dang James arm stretched a little farther to the north. Like to Leavenworth! "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups." George Carlin "The only money ever wasted is money never spent." Me.
Champ188 Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Then you would never get down this way, and that would be no good. We've got golf to play this year, my friend. Grass is greening up nicely. Come on down!

Come on down! Thank you! In fact, Kathy and I are heading your way on 22 April. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll get there in time to make the OA World Series of Fishing event however. I'll check back in as we get closer to the date. We'll be there until the following Saturday so, hopefully, we can get this deal out of the thinking stage! If all else fails, little brother and I will be back on 13 May but Kathy's quite a bit more fun and lots prettier! Champ188 1 "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups." m&m Posted March 30, 2017 Author Posted March 30, 2017 Vernon, the OAF tourney is from 6:30am to 2:30pm. You can launch from anywhere on TRL but you just have to be at Eagle Rock at 2:30. And you only need to weigh in one bass. You shouldn't need much time to catch one bass. So when you get there come on by to enjoy the picnic after the tourney is over. Mike

Mike Shouldn't need much time to catch one bass? You did day weigh in was the same day didn't you? Now if it's the following Saturday I might have a shot at snagging one by the end of the week! We're actually trying to negotiate a Friday check-in which would enable us to at least come by if not actually participate. I'll be sure and let y'all know in the event we are successful. Logistically, it's a little challenging regardless as we'll be staying at Indian Point so we're a ways away but I haven't given up hope yet. Especially since most days "hope" is all I've got anyways! m&m Posted March 31, 2017 Author Posted March 31, 2017 Vernon, Patlock and I are fishing it and we put in at Big M. We actually live off Stormy Point Rd which is a little closer to the dam than Indian Point. It is about an hour drive by car to trailer way up the river but it is worth it to participate. Catching a keeper to weigh in is like icing on that participation cake . Hope it works out for you. Mike vernon 1
