Right about 72° is when it always happens for LM. We found fish all over beds in 58* water this weekend, many of them had both males AND females on them rolling around doin their thing. I don't think they are going to wait for 72* this year as late as spring was. The moon and photo cycle might come into play more than temps this year?
Members brianetz1 Posted May 1, 2018 Members Posted May 1, 2018 how do you think the storm rolling in on thursday going to affect the spawn? will they pull off the beds and head to deeper water?

Old plug Posted May 4, 2018 Posted May 4, 2018 i have been out so little this year I have no idea what is going on with the bass but they are sure getting some big crappie. A friend of mine got a 16' crappie. She is a very inexperienced angler and was trolling with her husband at the time. My neighbor got one about 1/4 of a inch short of 16. I go one 15 and 5 more over 13 and kept them in my live box for a dinner we had. Cleaned them two hours before they were deep fried in beer batter. That is the way I like my crappie.
