Old dog 417 Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 Launched at Ruark, 1 PM. Predicted light and variable ESE wind was more like 10-15 mph. Water temp was 68 and was dingy in the twin bridges area. Headed North and found water clarity improved North of Mutton. No logs or heavy trash were observed floating on main lake. Fished channel points and a couple of windy secondaries with bottom bouncer/slow death rig. Wind made boat control challenging and at times very frustrating but 30+ ft was the producing depth when I could stay on it. I caught a mixed bag of 6 with 2 being keeper walleye. Tried Dan's method...switched to pink blade on the B/B rig and it produced the 2 keepers. Thanks Dan! But...obviously I still need a luckier fishing hat, old or new! Krazo, Brad N Steph, Walleyedmike and 3 others 6
dan hufferd Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 Yes it is hard to get the skunk off a new hat. I am glad that you caught some, sounds like you are getting it figured out. I hope the store stock up on those pink blades. oghfm 1
