String trick wouldn't work and they had to push it through. Al Agnew Posted May 20, 2017 Posted May 20, 2017 Yeah, I don't think the string trick would have worked on that one, simply because of the size of the hook, the depth it was embedded, and the angle. To make the string trick work you absolutely have to be able to push very hard on the eye of the hook, toward the buried barb. Didn't look like you could get a good enough push in that situation.
