Anyone see this?  Jason Christie ended up burying a super spook hook into the meat of his palm up to the shank of the hook.  String trick wouldn't work and they had to push it through. Video in this link ***not for the queasy hearted***

Yep seen it live when they were cutting and removing. Grigsby did a fine job.

Yeah, I don't think the string trick would have worked on that one, simply because of the size of the hook, the depth it was embedded, and the angle.  To make the string trick work you absolutely have to be able to push very hard on the eye of the hook, toward the buried barb.  Didn't look like you could get a good enough push in that situation.
