Members FishPharm Posted June 3, 2017 Members Posted June 3, 2017 Hey Y'all Had a tough 4 hours this morning from 9-1. Caught one walleye first thing in about 20 fow on a NE point using a jig head and half a nightcrawler. Barely 15" another walleye later in the day in about 6 fow near the brush. seemed like a lot of baitfish activity in the area. he was maybe 13" found a couple pockets of bluegill in openings in the brush line. brought home 6 to round out a decent meal. water temp got up to 76 degrees and only a slight SE wind this morning. water was like glass when I put in MoCarp, mikeak, Johnsfolly and 1 other 4
dan hufferd Posted June 3, 2017 Posted June 3, 2017 Wind makes for better walleye fish'n most of the time. Thanks
curtisce Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 My friend went 6/2 in evening fishing for bass. not much luck with the bass but caught 7 walleye with a few keepers and lost a large one at the boat. we we on Saturday very little wind, did fair on the bass but he boated 6 walleyes only 2 under 15" and lost 3 at the boat all in 4-8 fow on the Ned. I boated a 16'". found a crawfish in ones gullet. I figure the crawfish must be doing something up shallow. Why we didn't do better on the bass I don''t know.My friend was throwing Orange /green pumpkin, I was having issues with my ned rig setup that day was relunctant to switch to such a gawdy orange bait. We released the walleye figuring we never get a descent buch of walleye while bass fishing. After boating the 5th one we questioned our wisdom. mikeak and "eyes"haveit 2 The answer may not lie at the bottom of a glass, but you should always check
