Any Catfish?

From late April thru May I always look forward to catching some spawning channels on the rocks.  Couldn't find em this year...  All my spots were way too deep and I didnt adjust well.  Any tips or stories?

Rip rap under the bridges and floating minner or night crawler wouldn't be a bad attempt.

I found a few this morning in 6-10 fow on the points of bluffy/boulder banks. None of them were more than pound of so, probably not what you're really looking for.

Caught 4 bottom bouncing for walleye in 20-25 fow. The 2 that we kept were almost 3 lbs ea and did have eggs in them.

Yep the last time that I went, there were places that all you could catch bottom bouncing was pound and a half channel cat. Those dang things were everywhere.

They may not be "cool", but they are delicious.  Oddly enough my favorite catfish for eating are Flathead belly meat and bullheads.  Used to have a pond that was infested with them.  But you could catch a few 12 inches and go from swimming to sizzling in 10 minutes.  Dad used to occasionally request them for supper.

Got one on a twin tail grub, bass fishing  yesterday, looking forward to catching a few this summer.
