rps Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Thought I would post these two pictures because it struck me my rigging for the morning was "homegrown." What you see are my two new rods completed this summer. One is 6'6" and the other 7" and both are medium heavy, rated for 10 to 17 test line, and designed for 1/4 to 3/4 ounce baits. On the red rod, please notice one of Bo's jigs rigged with Pepe's beaver lizard. On the charcoal rod you will see a HK jig with one of their craws. On a side note, the Okuma Helios on the red rod was rated highly in a Tackle Tour review. It has begun to sound and behave like a year old Bass Pro Qualifier. Within five casts I switched it for the 10 year old Curado D on the rod the new one will replace. snagged in outlet 3, Daryk Campbell Sr, Quillback and 4 others 7
dtrs5kprs Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 If those are Winn grips, I'd like to know how they hold up over time.

I am positively impressed so far -> very comfortable and "grippy." The fun part was that the entire handle came assembled on the graphite dowel that shows between the handle and the butt. You build arbors with tape, mark the spine on the tape, slather them with epoxy and slide the rod into the dowel and seat it. Sure made the handle part easy.
