MoCarp Posted June 20, 2017 Posted June 20, 2017 Yeah rough flood water kills fish, a ride through the turbines do that.....all that extra fertility washing in can cause bacteria to spike MONKEYS? what monkeys?
LoweSTX175 Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 Thanks for the post with this article. I'm around MM81 (Cole Camp/Turkey Creek) and have noticed a bunch of fish floating over the past couple of weeks. I'm wondering if this is the reason the bite has been slow over the past month or so....well at least for me.
MoCarp Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 Check for arrow holes........its that time of year.....found a huge brown floating on Taney once, should have kept it for the warden MONKEYS? what monkeys?

Most everyone said bite was slow in upper stretches of the river area. A lot of guys were running a long ways. Heard guys running to gravois arm, PB2 of course and the Nianguas. I did loose a nice keeper in Cole Camp just past the idle area on the left. I can now say I have fished LOZ from dam to dam. It was nice to see a part of the lake I had not seen and was a pretty boat ride prefishing but was surprised at how many boats were in the area besides the tourney boats on Saturday LoweSTX175 1

I fished Cole camp and had 15. There was current coming into cole camp and they were chasing crawdads at least for me. WeekendWarrior 1

There must have been a tournament on Father's Day weekend...there were a bunch of guys up in Cole Camp creek hitting the same area. I know exactly where the hole is past the idle area right before the Girl Scout camp. kvo113 1
