Thursday the 6th. Spent most of the day bottom bouncing and caught drum and blue gill. Switched to trolling Flicker Shads and picked up a short walleye immediately. Ended up with five shorts and one keeper and two big crappie in two hours before we gave in to the heat.

Friday the 7th. Trolled cranks, got a late start hit the water at 11:00, fished until 3:30. Eight walleye with three keepers and three big whites. Didn't keep any on this day.

Saturday the 8th. Ten walleye trolling cranks with three keepers.

Also caught a mixed bag of bass, catfish and drum each day. All of the walleye were really shallow, 10-15'. Pea gravel banks with gentle slopes produced most of the fish, Also the smaller #5 Flicker Shads really shined.

we tried 5,6, and 7's in variuos colors. everything got bit to some degree, but no size seemed to be better than any others. we caught fish on 7's, then it would slow down, so we would switch, catch a couple, slow down, and repeat

Thanks for the info Mike!! A buddy of mine and I are going down wed, thurs and friday. Looks like a lot of sun and some heat. My plan was to go to Lmtout's bottom bouncer plan or Dan Hufferd's spoon technique. Fish 20 to 30 fow. But sounds like some eyes are staying up shallow. My buddy loves to troll so this will be right up his alley. Of course we all know things can change real quick!!
