I thought about taking off just to see what the fishing does during the eclipse.  If anybody goes out give us a report.  I'll be looking through my welding hood as it passes by.

I don't think it would be any different than a cloud passing over since the actual angle of the sun stays the same.  I have to work today also but I might get out this evening.  The last 2 times I have been out I didn't do very good, so I am due for some action eclipse or not.

Went out to see if the eclipse would make them jump in the boat, fished some wave breaks with spook and only a couple short kentuckies, guess the eclipse was burning their eyes. Didn't hear or see a boat moving for 30-45 minutes, flattest I have seen lake all summer. Caught a couple keepers in back of a cove around brush on a swimbait.

I fished this morning for a little while caught a couple off a main channel point. Yesterday caught  a few in the morning but mid morning to evening was a tough go.

I took a long look at the water, post eclipse, and it just looked dead.   You know how sometimes you can just look at the water and feel it wanting to humiliate you?   Not a dimple in sight, no birds or critters milling about, not even a lazy turtle on a log.

I finished my sandwich and went back to work.  I refused to give it the satisfaction.

I know the feeling. The good thing for you is you are on the water all the time and can tell the lake to take a hike.

Yessir, fishing is my favorite thing to do, always has been, so I kinda planned my life around it.

If I had to drive 100 miles to go fishing I'd not be a happy Wrench very often.
