Will S. Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 What do y'all do to keep the skirts on your jigs. Seems evertime I use an oily fish attractant, the little rubber band comes loose and the skirt ends up on the bend of the hook.
Members BillT Posted October 20, 2017 Members Posted October 20, 2017 I wrap the skirt on the jig with a couple wraps of light gage copper wire and twist the wire tight.

Nitroman Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 At any of these, LOWES or MENARDS or HARDWARE STORE in the electrical section find the " SMALLEST WIRE TIE " they carry & you are done. Quick & easy & not bothered by any " LURE JUICE " !!!!!!! Also if you feel the fish care they are available in various colors, black & / or white being the most common. Will S. Posted October 20, 2017 Author Posted October 20, 2017 Found some small diameter solid copper wire @ Powells & did as suggested. Don't know why I never thought of this myself. Thanks for the suggestion. Got a good start on them (until I got bored). Bill

Bill T, forgot to mention, your copper wire wrap works like a champ. Holds up excellent with oil attractant. Solved my issues... Again thanks.
