Fished Saturday and it was a memorable trip. The Bass fishing was great and the scenery was too. Watched two eagles right before dark and one of them sat on the bank for quite a while as we watched. It was one of those magical evenings where everything seemed just right. The lake was calm and we pretty much had it to ourselves. If I don't get out again this fall, the year ended just right. Hope all of you get to have the same type of experience.

Thanks for the pics. I was up there Friday afternoon fishing from the bank. Did not catch much but you are right, it was beautiful with all of the trees turning

Wish I'd have went Saturday.

Went Sunday and the wind was blowing like crazy, and cold.

Marked a ton of fish and bait balls, just couldn't get them to bite. Tried trolling and jigging a spoon. Did catch a bass and a bluegill off of a brush pile while trying to jig for crappie.

Later this week looks like some stable weather finally.

Nice job...bigger smallies have definitely been more prominent this year!  This is my favorite time of the year to fish Stockton...went Sunday for a few hours and left once the wind shifted heavy out of the north.  Fished around chicken rock area and still found a decent topwater and finesse jig bite.  Spinnerbait bite is still not there yet...hopefully that picks up here soon!

Yeah, this is the best time of year for smallmouth. My biggest at Stockton, 21" several years ago on a spinnerbait in November. I released that fish. Would love to get another chance at one like that. Good luck!
