Johnsfolly Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 I have really wanted to have a fresh fish dinner. Figured my best bet would be a lake that I have caught crappie in November. I headed there this afternoon. Only fished just under 2 hours. I fished with a float and microjig set-up. I would love to say that I caught a mess of crappie for a fish dinner. I did not catch a single crappie. I did catch seven bluegill like this male and female. All were 6 to 8.5 inches in length. They would have made a great dinner if this lake did not have a 9" minimum length ! Wasn't a great day for crappie, but it was a beautiful evening with the water like glass and a fantastic sunset. I may try a different lake that also has nice hand sized bluegill and no length limit. Also some nice crappie if I am lucky. I may get that fresh fish dinner after all. BilletHead 1
