November Panfishing

I have really wanted to have a fresh fish dinner. Figured my best bet would be a lake that I have caught crappie in November. I headed there this afternoon. Only fished just under 2 hours. I fished with a float and microjig set-up. I would love to say that I caught a mess of crappie for a fish dinner. I did not catch a single crappie. I did catch seven bluegill like this male and female. All were 6 to 8.5 inches in length.

They would have made a great dinner if this lake did not have a 9" minimum length ! Wasn't a great day for crappie, but it was a beautiful evening with the water like glass and a fantastic sunset. I may try a different lake that also has nice hand sized bluegill and no length limit. Also some nice crappie if I am lucky. I may get that fresh fish dinner after all.

Water like glass???  Wind was howling here all day!  nice Gills, like seeing the 9" min also.  Hard to find big gills anymore.
