I recently recieved some of my dads and grandfathers old tackle and came across a few wiggle warts. I have about 20 of the pre rapalas now and was just curious as to what they might be worth to some of the people out there going nuts for them. I went through several websites and ended up on ebay where i found this! it is an active auction with 25 or more bidders. this is getting rediculous.

I would love to say that i found one these babies, but everything i have has been used and not worth much, but a man can dream i guess.

It's been ridiculous for quite a few years now.  The bidders are both lure collectors and those that will actually fish with it.  Funny thing about WW's, because Storm's production methods were so antiquated the quality of a brand new wiggle wart out of the box was questionable.  Out of 10, probably 2 or 3 would never run right and only about 2 or 3 had that special magic.  The rest were OK only so needless to say I would never spend that sort of money for any pre-Rapala NIB and anticipate the thing would be fishable.  In fact, from what I've heard, a lot of the used Warts that are on the Facebook sight and Ebay are the 2 and 3 that aren't worth a poop.

If your's are half way decent, in the right colors (crawdads) and fishable you'd be surprised what those will go for.  Used ones in the right colors often sell in the $5 - $25 range.

I sold several 2 years ago. NIB really adds to the value. Just having the box to get the correct color code (V77,V44,etc) Is handy. The stamp under the bill being legible is a good thing too.

If you have a color to sell that matches one of the crazy high priced one, good for you and list it quick!

several on here could help with color codes if you need it. Good luck and know the current gen warts, rapala dt series and rock crawlers do a good enough job almost every day and less defective baits than to old warts as cart7 mentions.
