I completely agree it's possible

Yep.  All things are possible when a badge is involved.  Someone enjoying themselves and not bothering anyone can't just get a smile and a wave, there's way too much "polite hate" in the world for that.

Not always the case.....  You would think that you could use a small layout boat duck hunting with a trolling motor or other motor and hunt a conservation area flooded cornfield and not be in any trouble, but unfortunately, sometime water patrol can and will patrol those areas.  I think that is kind of crazy for a flooded field, but it is what it is.  For example, I know Four Rivers has had some people getting ticketed for not registering their boat and motor.  The odds may be that you won't have an issue, but it is possible.

They are way to into giving tickets for layout boats. I haven’t had a problem personally, but I’ve heard of way too many people having trouble at places like Four Rivers. I don’t understand the problem. What is wrong with running down a waist deep ditch and into an ankle deep flooded field with a motor? Why does that require licensing, lights, pfd, throwable, fire extinguisher, etc.? If you ask me, that is dumb.

Don't understand it myself either.
