Today from noon till 2, eight crappie , half keepers and half short, all released.  Had best luck in 13-15 fow, the wind was sporting.  Took the ol Arkansas Traveler out for the first time in 3 years.  She's a 1955 model and has been with the family since 59.  Removed the center seat about 8 years ago and installed a flat Cypress wood floor.  Have Minn Kota maximizer hand operated tm's on bow and stern, just reversed the head on the front one.  I had forgot how easy boat control is that way.  Plan on doing a little training with the grand kids this spring and hope to let them solo the coves up Sons creek in good weather, we all started somewhere. If I pass you on the lake in this ol boat, you must be tied to something.

If I pass you, I'll flag you down for a closer look!  Sounds like fun.

Lettered my new Tracker Heritage yesterday, but wimped out on the wind.

She is still a virgin!

I know some folks that are considering one of those Heritages.  Love the baby moons on the trailer.  I was born and raised in El Do until the Army took me away for 24 years. Got a cabin on Sons Creek now but live in Joplin.  Sweet luck w/ your new ride.

Nothing like a new boat!  No boat for 30 years.  They say it might be warm and sunny later in the week.

I hope it will be OK.  Very small livewell.  Lots of metal filings to vacuum out of the bilge yet so wonder about quality overall. But price was too good to pass up.  Not sure how many they intend to build so went ahead.  No videos on youtube yet by new owners.  Seems strange.

last i heard they were only building 2500 of them

I wonder about that...   Sales guy in Springfield was unaware of that (many other things, too!), but I have heard rumors to that effect.

And, believe the fine print said something about the free cover being good until spring.
