Seems like it would be good for this type fishing Never been. Want to... Just always crunched for time. Being that I have 3 and 5 year old girls. I only can usually get out on a Friday mid morning to mid afternoon
wily Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 No worries on eucha...just a cool lake...we go down there every now and then. I'm not trying to be a pain...and I thank you for your time...it seems like you've got something figured out and I'm just trying to pick your brain. not sure if this spider rig deal would work for white bass. Grand is closest to me but crappie fishing is hit and miss...lot of white bass in main lake in summer time though and we catch a bunch in monkey island area I saw in previous comment where you said you use different setup for trolling cranks...just curious what you use? We troll for whites out the back of boat with the big motor sometimes to find the white bass...We troll shad raps or other small cranks to find them...then cast to them with jigs. I see where people spider rig jigs along with minnows...so my thought is it could also work for the white bass My boat is g3 175...I think specs are very similar to yours. I've got 2 boys...we fish a lot for just about anything that swims in the 4 states. Thanks

Next to gar, that’s the last thing I want to see on the end of my line.😂. I’ve hooked up on a white bass in the past on my out side rod and they’ve run all threw the other seven. I’ve had 4 rods go down and make a mess of things.... I catch a couple back to back I’ll pull up my lines and move... There a fun fish to catch the traditional way of fishing but, rigging Its a headache. Cranking... I use my T-Bar holders that I mount up on each side of the bow. I turn them parallel with the sides of the boat. The holder up closest to the trolling motor is a 16 foot BnM pro staff trolling rod. The next holder is a 12 foot BnM PST and then the next holder after that is a 8 foot BnM PST. They face out perpendicular to the bow. I use okuma magda pro line counter reels, 10# mono as backing and then about 100 or so feet of 10# fluorocarbon. I tie on a size 3 swivel so I can change out baits quickly and avoid line twist. The rod closest to the trolling motor has the least amount of line out and the inside rod has the most line counted out. Seem to avoid tangles the best and and to get fish in the easiest without crossing lines Bandit 300’s and Pico cranks are my go to lures of choice when catching summer time crappie fishing. I hope that all makes sense 😂 bfishn and wily 2
wily Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 Thanks for all the info...you've got it figured out I'm working out my design Oklahoma has a 7 rod limit...so my plan is to put 2 stand alone bases in center...and one t bar holder (2 rod holders each side) on each side about 2 o'clock...the potatos represent where the bases would go... What kind of tbars do you like? I could spin the bars sideways with minnows...or vertically with cranks Thanks

Best bang for the buck. Easy to adjust. Easy, quick grap out of the holder.... I used these for 5 years with no issues. My opinion these are much better than any other expensive T-Bar brand out there. Follow the link http://hitekstuff.com/
