Whats the furthest up stream from rush that smallmouth can be caught for a good time this time of year? Early wanting to do rush to the white but we are limited on time so looking to put a buddy on some fish while sticking to our time frame.

If you only had two days to float what stretches would you want to hit the most?

It's been a while but I'm very partial to the stretch from Gilbert to Maumee.

As @Flysmallie says Gilbert to Maumee is a good fish/float, watch the water levels, most of the river is pretty good early in the year, in the summer the entire river is a zoo especially on the weekends.

Believe me i know about  the canoe hatch haha. So Gilbert to maumee is good? Pretty scenic too?
