Problem on upper Pomme is that there isn't much of it.  If you go very far up there are not many accesses or places to camp.  Crooked Creek is another option.

Crooked Creek in AR?

What’s the deal with that? I was checking it out on google street view at a couple accesses, and it was completely dry. One of those was at Hwy 101 which is the lower end just above the White.

Anyway, I still haven’t settled on a float though I’m leaning towards Rush to the White.

It would be the upper crooked creek area.  I believe around Yellville it disappears.  Been a while and since I was there but was thinking we put in at Harmon? And took out at a Conservation area near Pyatt?  Lower part of float on a weekend is not isolated though, would be plenty of other folks.

Yep, Crooked Creek is a losing stream.  During dry weather the entire flow sinks underground just downstream from Yellville, and it's mostly dry with a few permanent pools from there until the last few miles before it reached the White River, and even in those last couple miles is will have very little flow.  It can get very skinny above Pyatt, too, though it's sometimes floatable a lot farther upstream.
