Skeeter ZX190 Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 After reading Lifes2Short's crappie report, I couldn't resist going and giving it a try. Put in at Ruark Bluff at 9:00 am and headed up Sons Creek. 57.1 to 58.5 degree water. Ended up cleaning 28 crappie. Most were 10.5 to 11.5 but the biggest was 14. Mixture of males and females. Most fish came out of 4 to 8 foot of water. Used a 1/16th ounce jig with a white or white & yellow curly tailed grub. Also had a bonus 17 inch walleye. We also caught 2 white bass and a big drum. Got off the water at 2:00 pm. Old dog 417, ewlech, dan hufferd and 4 others 7
Members whiteley.matt Posted April 25, 2018 Members Posted April 25, 2018 Nice job on the crappie. I fished sons and all I could catch were whites. Had 52 white bass and 10 largemouth.
Lifes2Short Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 Great job Skeeter!!! I should have looked a little harder for you today, we had another great day on the H2o!!! Now if we could just get folks to park their truck & trailer without taking up two spots.....what a mess! dan hufferd, Old dog 417 and terryj1024 3

If those that parked at 5:30 AM in the dark can get their rigs parked straight the rest have no excuse. Perhaps, the COE should repaint the lines to help the "parking challenged" since they are quite faded and have been for several years. Several years ago...I had a friend along that offered to pull my rig out and park it when we launched. When we were done fishing and returned to the ramp, I walked up to retrieve the car and trailer and found he had parked it basically at a 45 degree angle covering 2 stalls. Ever since then I always remind fishing partners to "swing wide turning into the stall to get it straight". As I viewed the mess At Ruark Tuesday I wondered how many owners had no idea their rigs were parked so haphazardly or at the very least....I was hoping that's what had happened. od Lifes2Short 1
Lifes2Short Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 They have to get out of their trucks after they park, people would have to be blind not to see that their trailers are taking up two spots. Some people‘s kids........ There we’re at least a half a dozen spots that could not be parked in yesterday in the main lot because of the way people park their trucks and trailers. I can only imagine what this weekend is going to be like up there, I think I may stay home and let the madness continue. 🤪 Old dog 417 1

Met a buddy at CC monday I parked in overflow. Came back to this. Mine is the one in the middle. Thankfully empty trailers move without too much trouble Old dog 417 and Lifes2Short 2 The answer may not lie at the bottom of a glass, but you should always check
