Today we had one of those annoying winds that blow from every direction at the same time.

Water temp 58 - 59.

I started off swimming a paddle tail grub with no bites.

I fished a pbj Ned in 5 to 11 feet of water semi-parallel to steep banks near a notch or outcrop.

21 fish with 5 keeps.

BTW, saw three beds with buck bass nearby.

Fished from 7-1 out of big m.  Tried for crappie in RR only got 3, so went bass fishing.  Similar results to yours.  20+ bass all on wobble head and menace.  Saw no beds, but heard from a buddy yesterday that some were sight fishing in his tournament.

Nice, healthy looking fish there RPS.

Why anyone owns a wind/weather vane on the Rock is a mystery. It changes every friggin' 10 minutes so what's the point! Reminds me of all my fond fishing memories with my grandfather. Always grumbling about the constant shifting of wind direction on TR.

Nice report rps; we fished Kimberling City a few hours tonight and struggled. Stupid moss/rock snot stuff is all over. Guess we gotta travel to get away from it?........is this stuff everywhere?

We didn’t venture far; cause we got a late start today.:-(

The snot is here, there, and everywhere... until all of a sudden it isn't.  It's broken loose in spots from moonshine to cow over the last week, but still is a strong/annoying factor in many other areas.  The suspended gunk seems to drift with the wind.  Some spots are slimy out to around 8' while others have to be 15+ to steer clear.  Even deep, the trees will slime you.  1/16 ned and 1/8 keitech seemed to be the only things that would stay mostly gunk-free on a consistent enough basis.

Thanks Neb, that 1/16 ounce Ned was indeed, much easier to keep out of the snot than heavier heads. Although the wind sure made it tricky to throw..........but, Gonna try a lighter keitech tomorrow too. Glad it’s just not us tangling in the stuff.:-(
