FishermanTodd Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 Good morning, thinking about going and staying at a campground on the Niangua for one or two nights. Anyone have any advice on which campground provides the best fishing right from the campground?
fishinwrench Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 HVO I guess, since the stocking happens right across the river. The fishing is usually pretty good around Maggard's and Ho Humm also. The dude that is left in charge at Ho Humm is a gun toting creeper that I'd advise keeping a close eye on. snagged in outlet 3 1

I’m more of a smallmouth guy than trout. I usually fish a little bit up river from HVO and do well. Just looking to change things up a little. I may try Maggard’s. Thanks again!
Gavin Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 I'd check out Riverfront if you want to bass fish in front of camp. No full hookups, but they do have water, electric, and a dump station.. .
