Flyfisher for men Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 A thank you to all who gave insight on a couple of my threads. Hidden Valley Outfitters proved excellent. This advice served me well: Quote Airflo polyleaders work well. come in various sizes and sink rates from floating to extra fast sink. Have used them with great success at Bennett with cracklebacks and leech/woolly patterns. quick change out if you want to throw a dry or terrestial too. just like taking off a standard leader. I can't even tell you how many fish I have caught on a crackleback or woolie bugger with my sinktip or sinking line at Bennett or Taney As for the trip, the fishing Friday to Sunday was fair overall. Friday was good, Saturday fair, Sunday was terrible (only one fish, and two got away). I had a hard time establishing a pattern;A few on a crackleback on the surface, a few on a crackleback with a sink tip, a few on a John Deer, a few on a caddis, etc. Most of my fish came in zone two. I had to keep switching flies to get hook-ups, which is not unusual for me at BSSP. I was using 6x tippet. Again, many thanks. JestersHK and Johnsfolly 2
