I've been on the water several nights this last week under the dam.  The water is usually off by 9:00.  Last night they ran it until 10:00 which made for a late start.  Generally very good fly fishing with a lot of healthy aggressive fish caught.  Mostly rainbows up to 18 inches and an occasional white bass.  Only one brown.  I've averaged between 24-36 fish in four hours and typically hook up fish every 2-3 casts.  Last night was slower and the fish were smaller.

Successful patterns have been #8 Hibernators and pine squirrel sculpin in black, purple, brown, and olive.  I am fishing them on a 7 1/2 foot 3X leader.  Dead-drifting them with an occasional burst of 3-4 very short fast strips seems to work best.  Most nights they hit it hard.  Last night was a more subtle affair where you would just feel a slight weight on the end of your line.

I am generally starting somewhere between Outlet 1 and 2 and working down to Outlet 3.  There have been a lot of bank fisherman up around the cable.

It looks like they are probably going to run the water a little later tonight so I am going to catch up on some sleep.

That would be my guess.  I think you could do very well with a stick bait up there at night right now.  Saw someone land several fish last night from the bank halfway between Outlet 1 and 2, but I couldn't tell what he was fishing with.  Unfortunately I've also seen a couple groups up there that are very loud and shine their lights on the water.  I stay downstream of them.
