trythisonemv Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 With lots of rain and warmer temps starting this is a prime time to take an adventure down crane creek. The higher water levels provide more holds as well as all the rains increasing food dislogdment. This makes it easier to fish from shore and decreases your chances of spooking the trout. When the weather allows these perfect conditions they love bigger presentations and are more aggressive. Try throwing buggers and stone fly patterns as there are several variations of these bigs in February and March. Prince nymphs in size 14 through ten work excellent. Make sure you use a weighted system to get them down in the buckets though. In the runs and riffles cast upstream and strip the bugger back at the end ofvyour drift. This drives them nuts! Walk softly! JestersHK, Johnsfolly, BilletHead and 1 other 4
