DChance Posted March 18, 2019 Posted March 18, 2019 How is the bass fishing on Pomme recently? What are current conditions and temps? thanks.
MOPanfisher Posted March 18, 2019 Posted March 18, 2019 Recorded this morning, lake near he dam, 40 degrees, lots of stained water, releasing 3000 cfs, so lake is falling. Am ready to see it normal level or close and 55 degrees.
Ranger520vx Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 Went out this afternoon fished about 3 hours never got bit. Water temp around the dam area was 45-48. Water had about 2 ft visibility around the dam but up the Pomme arm around Lightfoot it is about 8". UAW had a tournament Sunday and the guy that won had one 15.5" fish and what I heard that was the only fish weighed in. Not a great report but best I got.
Ranger520vx Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 Definitely was brutal. Expect better fishin this time of year but with muddy water and the water falling 5" or so each day didn't really not surprised it's tough. Hopefully can find some that want to bite this week. Been a long winter and ready to catch some bass.
Members MoFisher22 Posted March 19, 2019 Members Posted March 19, 2019 Water is definitely very stained and I only got 3 bites in 2 days of fishing but I did manage to get this big ol' girl on a ned rig Saturday afternoon. Thinking I must have practically hit her in the head with it.
conman Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 I fished 5 hours on Sat and never got bit. Water at the dam had 3 ft visibility and 39 deg, back of Cooper up the Pomme was chocolate milk and 46 deg. I got a ton of confidence for USA Bassin on Sat...
DChance Posted March 20, 2019 Author Posted March 20, 2019 I have a club tourney there on april 6. Hope it is heating up by then. I am going to try to prefish some the weekend or so beforehand. I guess the dam area has the best water due to visibility or is the warmer muddy water more productive up the rivers? 46 degrees and should be warming. possibly a wart bite soon?
