Just upstream from the 82 bridge is a big cove that goes beast and south, we always called it bean cove. It is usually good. If he is looking for hybrids he will need to go up past the bridge, or look for them at kk island. Alaskageek 1

Less than 24 hours will find me on my way to heaven! and 48 will have me living the dream!!!! Will be looking for crappie, whites, and hybrids and anything else that wants to tug on my line. 🙂 I'm not able to find KK island on any of my maps, could you maybe point it out Navery? The attached map is a zoomed out view of the Fairfield to Sapps landing area. I've circled what I think is Bean Cove in yellow. When looking for the whites/hybrids, do I need to get upriver to at least Buzzard Cave Bluff? or farther?
navery Posted April 26, 2019 Posted April 26, 2019 The red spots are where I would look for whites and hybrids. Fish the points and banks that the wind is blowing into. I caught 4 man limits with some buddies I took out Wednesday. Smallest was 8 lbs. They were in 4-12 ft of water Alaskageek and MOPanfisher 2

Can't say thank you enough for giving me your spot! Would be awesome just to hook a few that big!! Will be sure to post up some picks of our hopeful success and for sure awesome days. Limit for WB/Hybrids is 15 there, right? With only 4 being over 18"?
MOPanfisher Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 Hybrids I know little about. I always key in on crappie. KK island is always a good spot for hybrids or walleye. What I know as bean cove I think k is the long skinny cove at the lower left of the yellow circle. However any of those coves can be good for crappie. We went to loz today, North wind, cold front it was tough. 3 of us had 32 and we had to earn them.
navery Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 Correct. 15 white bass, hybrids or a mix of the two, per person with only 4 being over 18".
navery Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 Went again today for a couple hours. They are also hitting top water. Caught whites at kk island Krazo, Alaskageek, MOPanfisher and 1 other 4
