Members BAMster Posted April 22, 2019 Members Posted April 22, 2019 The last 4 years I fished three company tournaments on Table Rock. 2 in mid March, 1 in the third week of April. Average 25 boats, no pros, but a solid group of capable, experienced fishermen. In the 3 years I’ve fished I’ve yet to see the big bass winner weigh a 4 pounder. As a former 10 to 12 tournament a year fisherman, I’m stunned by this statistic! Is this just a weird anomaly that I’ve happened to experience, or have the 5+ pound bass deminished in numbers? Not weighing at least a 4 pounder as a big bass in mid March and late April just seems really strange to me. Hopping you locals that fish Table Rock often, could share some insight. Thanks: BAMster
Bill Babler Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 I think the Big Bass Bash answers your question, with multiple monsters weighed in. Really the deal here is you cannot or can very seldom just go fishing and catch a big fish. You have to hunt them like hunting a big deer. Most time catching fish here and catching keepers is not all that hard. Hunting and catching biggins is. You must be willing to fish where they live and at times lose supplies trying to recruit them. evilcatfish, crazy4fishin, Champ188 and 6 others 9 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
