MoCarp Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 Interesting to think that people pay so much to stock private .to pay and fish as well as “day ticket” places to fish MONKEYS? what monkeys?
MoCarp Posted April 24, 2019 Author Posted April 24, 2019 Stunning fish as well (us carp guys think so) MONKEYS? what monkeys?
MoCarp Posted April 24, 2019 Author Posted April 24, 2019 So looking it up a 15# carp is about $625.00 for ONE fish at today’s exchange rate MONKEYS? what monkeys?
Flysmallie Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 Sounds to me like all these trophy carp are being raised as pets and then sold to some moron that puts it in his pond who then spends all his time trying to catch it so he can Instagram it and everybody goes oooooowwww aaaawwwww. No wonder they are pissed when somebody comes along and shoots an arrow through it! That's $625 down the drain! Oh well. They should have bought a donkey. It's illegal to shoot an arrow into a donkey. And they are easier to catch, you take care of them and they will pretty much follow you around like a dog. They can haul stuff. And since they are so much better looking than a carp you still have a shot on Instagram.
MOPanfisher Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 Except if you want to buy a donkey for $625 you can shoot arrows through it if you want. Heck you can eat it if you want. I have no problem with someone who wants to pay $625 or $625,000 for a particular fish to stock their Private lake with. Unlikely anyone with that kind of dough is gonna invite me to fish for free, and I aint gonna pay to do it.
MoCarp Posted April 24, 2019 Author Posted April 24, 2019 Most fish stocked get really hard to catch after they get stung a time or too..the British that come here to fish rave about how cheap it is, one reason so many people are traveling to trophy carp locations like dale hollow, locals there like it because it gives them good business early in the year ( best time is early March till mid May) if you don’t believe me call lillydale marina and ask! Here are some nice ones taken at DH this spring.. they did an Alex and Carl show there last week . when they post the video I’ll share. MONKEYS? what monkeys?
