Got started about 10:30ish yesterday and after last weeks gale force winds I’ll take 5-10mph winds any day 🤣

Water temp went from 65-70 by the time I pulled out.  Clarity was dingy in the area I first started at.  Caught 5 really quick and thought okay gonna get em quick today....  Then took any hour to catch 3 more 😬... Was rigging in 16 fow about 6 feet down along pea gravel banks...  About 12:30 I pulled out and made a move.  Water clarity was much clearer...  Probably the clearest I seen it since getting back on Beaver Lake....   Got in about 12-13 fow and best bite seemed to be 7 feet down.

Boy was it a frustrating bite.  A lot of bites they would just come up and lift up on the rod tip...  Hard to pierce a nose that way...

Went through several shorts.  About 3 shorts to every keeper.  But at least the bite was better...  Ended with a limit of females about 2:45.   Then culled the 3 squeakers I had and pulled up at 3:30.

All the females belly’s didn’t look bloated like previous trips but look more post spawn...  Didn’t realize it until I got home and clean the first fish...  Most of everyone of them are reabsorbing their eggs...  They looked pale like a brownish color...  Low water year I guess and not having favorable conditions.

These fish will won’t be there in a few days...  Gonna be lull time before they start eating aggressively

Good fishing and God bless Lance

Nice stringer buddy and great report! Sounds like there might be potential for a poor year class if they are reabsorbing their eggs 😢.
