Rod/Reel recommendations for Topwater WTD

After looking at that SLX combo on slick deals more wondering if I should just go ahead with the 8:2:1 I realized that even though it didn't show another option packaged if I clicked the top I could choose the view details at the top I had more options. So I got the 7ft MH with the 6:3:1 LH model. 

 

That being said I'm debating on what line to put on it. Recently I've just had a 15lb copolymer but thinking about doing 20 or 30lb braid with like a 12 lb mono leader. Anyone have suggestions or info on what they do? I am wanting to setup for maximum casting distance and the braid will help redu e the stretch on the hookup but I'm not sure what sizes would be best.
