Me and a buddy of mine are going to do some afternoon into night fishing. We are launching at Forsyth and running up to rollaway beach. I have only had my boat on there one time and that was at the landing. Is there any obsicals that will be in my way? Dont really know that part of the lake really well. Also how is the trout bite doing down that far. We want to go for some rainbows and bluegill. Also how far up bull creek can you run before it gets shallow?

Not really anything to hold you up going up to Bull.  I've seen bass boats all over down there.  Flow on bull depends how far you can go up.  Wouldn't run it in the dark.

Are there lots of weeds in Bull Creek?. Especially growing to within 3' or so of the surface. Logs, stumps, even rocks, meh. Weeds, I'm dead in the water.

Real men go propless!

There were 2 logs about 12" out of the water just up from Rockaway in the channel that I passed Friday afternoon, but that is the only time I have been on that part of the lake. I launched at empire and went up just passed Rockaway. Didn't notice anything else other than shallow weeds. Go slow out of empire though. Gets very shallow trying to get to the channel from the ramp. I had my motor trimmed up high and was still churning mud. Worst case, you could just use your trolling motor to get over the shallow stuff.

Just saw this was from June. Oh well, I guess this is just a current conditions report.
