Will S. Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 Sorry if this is obvious... but I want to do some dinking around with my Lowrance chart plotter inside my home. Any inexpensive converter suggestions? Amperage considerations or concerns? Thanks

Members Fishfighter Posted August 28, 2019 Members Posted August 28, 2019 Just get one of the cheap converters that use a cigarette lighter plug. Less than $20 online. You can buy the male plug for a couple bucks at an auto supply store. The male plug will have a pigtail that can be wired.
MrGiggles Posted August 28, 2019 Posted August 28, 2019 Any ~1a 12V DC wall wort will work. Dig through the bin at the thrift store, I'm sure you'll find one for pocket change. You'll have to clip the plug off and verify polarity with a multimeter first. Computer power supplies will work as well, although that's a little overkill and needlessly complicated for the task at hand. Alternatively you can probably go on Amazon or Ebay and buy a 12V power supply for ~10 bucks. -Austin
